Currently disabled students studying Higher Education courses are able to receive a Disabled Student's Allowance when they have evidence of their disability and have a DSA Needs Assessment carried out by a qualified assessor attached to an approved Assessment Centre. Learning West has trained assessors attached to accredited Access Centres who are able to visit students throughout the country assessing them at home, university or college. Our assessors have experience of a wide range of disabilities including dyslexia, difficulties with mobility and/or manual dexterity, visual impairment, hearing impairment and mental health problems.
