Mentoring for disabled HE students
Students with long term mental health conditions may find it difficult to cope with the requirements of being an HE student. Mentoring can help students with mental health conditions to overcome feelings of isolation and assist them to overcome motivational and organisation difficulties, thus assisting the development of more effective and efficient study habits .
Regular sessions of mentoring can be provided for home based or campus based students ensuring regular support and study assistance. All mentors are CRB checked, comply with requirements for confidentiality and have experience of working with people with mental health difficulties.
